FIRE is the only fire sector journal offering an open forum to ensure the UK Fire and Rescue Service goes from strength to strength, based entirely upon models of excellence. That quality comes from our contributors – the best from inside and outside the Service.
FIRE is focusing on what works best, how it works well, and where else it can be applied to ensure high quality service delivery.
FIRE is concentrating on three main strands: · Operational Assurance · Risk Management · Learning & Development. FIRE identified these three main strands as being the core of Fire and Rescue Service duties, from which all else flows. Covering fire issues in such a way allows us to drill down into the detail whilst maintaining a strategic overview that ensures we cover all fire-related topics. Within this comprehensive framework every valuable dimension of fire and rescue work will be under the spotlight.
Working closely with key stakeholders such as CFOA we will be promoting Models of Excellence; ie what works best and how it can be adopted for wider implementation. FIRE is also working closely with fire sector employers, managers, representative bodies, suppliers and purchasers to provide an interactive forum for best practice.
