For sixty years, the The Fire Fighter’s Charity has been providing assistance to serving and retired Fire Service personnel and their dependants through the provision of services such as sheltered housing, recuperation, rehabilitation and therapy, in addition to financial support for those who need it.  However, these services cost the charity over £9 million per year.  None of this work on behalf of the fire service community would be possible without the money to pay for it.

The vital role of fundraising
Like many charities, we rely almost entirely on donations to fund our work.  Fire service personnel do a vast amount of fundraising on the The Fire Fighter’s Charity's behalf.   If you want someone to rattle a tin or bucket, scale a mountain, cycle across a desert, or take a raft down a white water adventure, there's a member of the fire service community somewhere who'll take up the challenge.  That is, as long as it earns them a generous donation to the The Fire Fighter’s Charity!

How can I help?
There are lots of ways individuals can also help support the The Fire Fighter’s Charity, from straightforward donations and sponsorship through to legacies and Regular Giving.  There are opportunities to play the Ben Fund Lottery and have the chance to win up to £25,000 per month, or alternatively the more adventurous can join in the fun and take part in one of the The Fire Fighter’s Charity's regular fundraising events.  You could also organise your very own event in aid of the The Fire Fighter’s Charity.  The charity will be there every step of the way to point you in the right direction and advise you on issues such as insurance. Please see the links on the left and visit the events calendar for more information on some of the many activities we're involved in. We'd love you to join us!
