The Ben Fund Lottery is a monthly draw, with a star first prize of £25,000 and runner up prizes worth thousands more. Tickets cost only £1 each (which can be paid via Direct Debit) with proceeds split between the prize fund and the charity. Players can be 100 per cent sure of where the good cause money is going, in that it will be used exclusively to fund the The Fire Fighter’s Charity’s support of Fire and Rescue Service personnel in the UK.
The Ben Fund supports 11,000 Fire and Rescue Service beneficiaries each year. Physical injuries, emotional issues and family disability are just a few examples of the different types of concerns of the beneficiaries the Ben Fund meets on a daily basis, with a large majority of the support coming through its therapy/recuperation centres around the UK. The success rate of these therapy centres is an incredible 91 per cent of serving personnel returning to full duties.
However, whilst this costs the beneficiary absolutely nothing, the service has to be paid for, and is funded by the charity’s  fundraising income.
