Jack Straw congratulates Lancs Prince’s Trust PDF Print E-mail
The Lord Chancellor, Justice Minister, and Blackburn MP Jack Straw paid a special visit to Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service in December, congratulating a group of young people for completing a Prince’s Trust scheme. The 12-week personal development programme team included offenders from Kirkham open prison and young people from the local community of the Fylde area. The initiative is in its fifth year, led by youth charity The Prince’s Trust and its delivery partner Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service in conjunction with HMP Kirkham. Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service facilitates the team programme in partnership with the Prince’s Trust at eight locations across Lancashire. The Trust focuses its efforts on young people who have struggled at school, have been in care, are long-term unemployed or have been in trouble with the law.
