Community Safety Minister visits Inverness
Community Safety Minister Fergus Ewing, conducted a visit to Inverness on Monday February 14, to see a community fire safety roadshow that is touring the country and encouraging people in Scotland to take suitable precautions to prevent fire breaking out in their home.
He met personnel from the Highlands and Islands Fire and Rescue Service as they spoke to the public about fire safety as part of the roadshow in the Eastgate Shopping Centre.
The roadshow - which features a full size model of a burnt-out living room to demonstrate the devastating effects of fire - has already visited locations around Scotland, taking the fire safety message directly to the public and encouraging them to sign up for a free Home Fire Safety Visit.
