Dräger, an international leader in medical and safety technology, is sponsoring the ‘Resilience and Learning from Major Incidents’ category at the Excellence in Fire and Emergency Awards to support and celebrate the achievements of fire services that successfully respond to the most critical of incidents.

The Resilience and Learning from Major Incidents Award will be presented to an individual, team or Fire and Rescue Service that has demonstrably improved resilience arrangements, including implementing systematic changes and enhancing operational procedures, within the last 12 months.

Liz Millward, Marketing Manager Emergency and Rescue Services at Draeger Safety UK, says the company has first-hand experience of the incredible job that our Fire Services do when needed most:

“We were in direct contact with the Fire Services in their responses to the 7/7 London terror attack, the Salisbury poisonings and Grenfell, and saw how quickly teams were mobilised and were able to communicate to partners such as ourselves what additional equipment and support they needed,” she says.

“Responding effectively in the most challenging of environments requires detailed training, planning and experience and our firefighters do an outstanding job. This award is as an excellent opportunity to thank our fire services and share best practice.”

The awards will take place on Friday 3rd December 2021, at One Great George Street, Westminster.
