Uniform1The development of fire fighting garments takes years of design, innovation and testing and involves a chain of highly technical and experienced partners.

DuPont works in conjunction with its partners through the Nomex® Partner Programme (NPP), a carefully-selected global network of customer-oriented and progressive weavers and garment manufacturers whose fabrics and garments pass the rigorous quality controls of DuPont.

As part of the DuPont™ Nomex® Partner Program, Nomex® partners have access to innovation from DuPont, technical expertise and state-of-the art product testing facilities, including the unique Thermo-Man®, that enable the quality and performance of finished garments to be precisely monitored. These partnerships have seen success in the number of fire and rescue services now wearing garments with an outershell that contains Nomex®. West Midlands, London, Devon and Somerset and Nottingham all chose Nomex® and both Nottingham and London were the first fire and rescue services to conduct independent tests and select a kit outside the Integrated Clothing Project (ICP).

Through NPP DuPont works continuously in collaboration with its partners to ensure the ever-changing needs of the end-user are met and the most up to date and customer-focused offering is made available to them.
