Event preview: APP Fire Safety & Rescue Group - The Impact of Fire on our Schools
On April 22, a specialist All-Party Parliamentry Group will analyse the issues which still prevent the majority of the UK's 30,000 schools from being destroyed by fire.
The group, including Chair of the LGA Fire Management Committee Cllr Kay Haymond, Lord Jim Knight and CFOA president Vij Radeniya, will debate the question: 'Can we continue to allow tens of thousands of our children’s education to be disrupted by fire, parents’ hopes and dreams shattered, teachers’ classwork ruined and our communities seriously affected?'.
