The work of these organisations is part of the rich tapestry of British culture and demonstrates the outstanding work and commitment to protecting others, as well as remarkable acts of bravery.

The Spirit of Fire Awards work alongside The Fire Fighters Charity to ensure that the dedication of individuals and the fire services as a whole do not go unnoticed. Along with members of the fire service, the awards also honour members of the general public who have shown outstanding courage when confronted with a distressing fire or rescue situation.
