The 3rd International Tall Buildings Fire Safety Conference will offer the opportunity to learn about fire risks and behaviour of fire in the more than 6,400 buildings over 100m tall in cities around the globe.
Featuring three full days (8-10 July) of presentations from a range of international speakers, all experts in their chosen disciplines, the event is ideal for anyone responsible for the protection of people, property and assets in tall buildings.
The first two days will focus on four key themes including: management of fire safety, fire detection & alarm, fire escape & evacuation, fire containment & compartmentation. On the final day, delegates will have the opportunity to develop their knowledge in one of three vital areas: business continuity & resilience, security & terrorism events, or firefighting.
Held at the University of Greenwich, a World Heritage site, the event also features a Gala Dinner in the magnificent surroundings of the University’s Painted Hall. The dinner will feature guest speaker Sir Ranulph Fiennes, who will offer guests an exciting insight into his inspiring career as a global explorer, sharing his countless life threatening experiences and fascinating exploits.
The organisers say the event "should appeal to facilities managers, insurers, architects, developers and firefighters, as well as companies offering technology; intellectual expertise; specialist products and equipment".
