Learn how passive fire protection products can protect lives and buildings at a CPD certified technical seminar, being held at Chiltern International Fire's (CIF) headquarters, near High Wycombe, Bucks on October 4.

Fire Protection in Buildings Explained provides a basic understanding of how passive fire protection products enhance a building's fire resistance, protect both buildings and people, reduce the spread of fire through secondary ignition and limit the spread of flame and smoke.

The seminar includes a live fire demonstration in CIF's on-site test laboratories. The day is aimed at architects, building contractors, facilities and estates managers, fire engineers, housing associations, local authorities, utilities engineers, the designated responsible person, fire stopping installation companies and technical sales staff.

Ross Newman, Principal Test Engineer, said: "Feedback from our previous seminars has been extremely positive. The course outlines current legislation relating to fire protection, such as Approved Document B and the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order, whilst the practical live fire demonstrations emphasise the importance of having the correct measures and products in place in a real fire situation."
