Fire sector award winners attend Downing Street reception
The Fire Fighters Charity's Spirit of Fire Award winners have been announced at a ceremony from the East Wintergarden at Canary Wharf, London on Friday evening, following a visit to No.10.
The Spirit of Fire Awards was hosted by BBC news presenter Nicholas Owen and saw a host of celebrities, including Esther Rantzen and Fern Britton, congratulate the nominees and winners. The evening closed with a moving tribute to Keith MacGillivray, who steps down this year after nine years as the charity's chairman. He received a Lifetime Achievement Award from judging panelists, John Parry, Chief Executive, and FIRE Editor Andrew Lynch.

Fire Services Public Child Hero: Nathan Parkman, Jake Matthews and Fred Amestoy-Pritchard
Fire Services Public Adult Hero: Steven Love
The Fire Fighters Charity Supporter of the Year: Erin McNeill
The Fire Fighters Charity Fire Fighter of the Year: Mike Barton
The Lifetime Achievement Award: Keith MacGillivray.
