The Fire Fighters Charity is looking for volunteers to take advantage of its new skydiving scheme with the London Parachute School.

LPS can arrange jumps at 20 Drop Zones across the UK and supporters of the FFC can now do a tandem parachute jump for free if they pay a £50 registration fee and then raise a minimum of £335 in sponsorship.

Mike Tague, Head of Fundraising at The Fire Fighters Charity, said: "Just imagine the adrenaline rush as you jump from 12,000ft, heading towards the earth at 120mph for 7,000ft of free fall, before the tranquillity as the parachute deploys and you gently descend back to terra firma.

"It costs £9m every year to meet the needs of our beneficiaries, and with no government funding, we rely entirely upon donations from the general public and the fire and rescue community. So if you're thinking of taking on a new challenge in 2012 why not reach for the sky and raise vital funds for The Fire Fighters Charity?"

The Charity is also looking for a new Director of Fundraising & Communications, click here for more information or visit www.firefighterscharity.org.uk for an application pack.
