Football League backs fire safety drill
The Football League has praised Rotherham United for supporting the local fire service. Ian Millers' stars Paul Warne and Johnny Mullins joined members of Rotherham Fire and Rescue Service at Parkgate.
The players handed out flyers, stickers and badges to children and parents before Bonfire Night. Football League Director of Marketing and Communications, Gavin Megaw said: "Promoting fire safety is vitally important and it is fantastic to see Rotherham United taking a lead on this subject.
"Football has the power to make a difference and the support from professional players will add extra weight to this important issue."
Youngsters were also given the opportunity to look around a working fire engine. Defender Mullins said: "The fire engine proved very popular with the kids. It was a successful afternoon.
"It was nice to head down with Paul and lend our support to the safety message."
