IFE London: Rail and underground rail fire safety and operations

Rail incidents place significant demands on local Fire and Rescue Services and often require resources and support from other Fire and Rescue Services and emergency responders.
When considering fire safety design, engineering and management within the rail sector there a many complex challenges to overcome.
The event will see seminars from TfL's Tony Cash and LFB fire engineering expert John Dowsett. The full agenda is as follows:
13.00 – 13.30 Reception and refreshments
13.30 – 14.00 Branch business agenda (brief) to include update on business planning by the committee and look forward to IFE June AGM and conference
14.30 – 15.00 Rail fire safety, Tony Cash, Transport for London
15.00 – 15.30 Crossrail and HS2, John Dowsett, LFB Fire Engineering
15.30 – 16.00 Break & Refreshments
16.00 – 16.30 Operational planning on fires and underground railway systems, Dave Bulbrook, Group Manager, London Fire Brigade
17.00 – Networking drinks. For those who want to stay and chat there is an informal networking drinks session planned at www.thebridgelounge.co.uk/, fire professionals who cannot make the seminar but can make the drinks are very welcome.
Cost: Free of charge to IFE London Branch Membership. Please make sure your membership is affiliated to the London Branch at HQ.
