Vice Chair John Woodcock received the accolade of Life Fellow at the IFE AGM this morning [6 July].

Speaking at the IFE Conference and AGM from Stratford-upon-Avon from the Stratford Manor Hotel, Vice Chair and new Life Fellow John Woodcock said he was shocked to receive the honour. Chair Peter Holland praised Mr Woodcock's passion and commitment especially in launching the new journal of the Institution of Fire Engineers, International Fire Professional, published by Pavilion Publishing and Media.

The AGM featured a Valedictory Address from the retiring International President Mr Hao-giang Tay and installed Roy Bishop as the new International President.

Mr Woodcock officially launched International Fire Professional and praised the professionalism of Pavilion Publishing and Media. "I have never been more excited - this is an opportunity for us to revolutionise how we communicate with each other. Only in early May did we agree what it would look like and by June 21 it was published. I think it is a fantastic magazine."
