graemesmithOn Wednesday 28th November the Mid and West Wales Branch of the IFE welcomed CFO Graeme Smith to the Towers Hotel in Jersey Marine.

The audience was some 76 personnel, from various organisations including Fire Authority members, Fire and Rescue personnel, Building Control Officers and Persons from businesses in the Fire Industry.

After a very short welcome address by the Branch Secretary Simon Hawkes the afternoon was passed over to CFO Graeme Smith. 

CFO Graeme Smith talked for over two hours with one short break, punctuating his talk with video footage and simulations. While he was speaking the audience was engrossed. Then at the break intelligent and concise questions were asked and CFO Graeme Smith gave expansive answers.

The audience really appreciated the openness with which CFO Graeme spoke that and his in depth knowledge and his willingness to share. 

Since the presentation the Branch Secretary has received numerous phone calls and emails all praising the quality of the Speaker and also the presentation.

The presentation concluded with ACFO Derek Masson thanking CFO Graeme Smith on behalf of the branch and presenting him with a set of cut crystal Glasses engraved with the branch name as a memento of his visit to Mid and West Wales.
