Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service has launched its brand new website, with a bright, modern design, simple navigation and brand new content on every page. The new site includes features such as a lively home page displaying the latest news and current safety messages, and for the first time, information about some of the incidents attended by fire crews from across the whole county.

Other pages include an interactive map showing the location of its stations, a look behind-the-scenes of its support departments, safety advice at home and at work and information about its range of learning and education programmes. There is also a picture gallery and a section about the fire museum at Mansfield.

"We had outgrown our previous website and wanted to present our information in a much more attractive way, which would make it appealing to visitors," explained Craig Parkin, Area Manager for Corporate Services.

"This is probably the first place people will go to find out information about fire safety and our services, and we want to make it as easy as possible for them to find what they need.

"We will be building on this site over the coming months and years and have plans for some interactive features that we will be introducing later this year."
