Senior managers at Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service have joined this year's Movember campaign, raising awareness of, and money for prostate and testicular cancer.

Chief Fire Officer Frank Swann, Deputy Chief Fire Officer John Buckley, Assistant Chief Fire Officer Dave Horton and Assistant Chief Officer Neil Timms have joined many others across the Service who have abandoned their razors for the month of November and are coping with itchy, scratchy upper lips in the name of charity.

The group of four has renamed itself the 'Top Lip Team' for the month and set up a page for donations that will spur them on to complete the fundraising challenge raising awareness of the importance of regular cancer checks.
Team 'Captain' John Buckley said: "We wanted to take this opportunity to raise awareness of mens' health issues and it seemed appropriate for the four of us to do something together to reinforce the message.

"I know from bumping into colleagues throughout the Service who are also growing moustaches that Movember has really taken off as an awareness and fundraising effort, and it's great to see so many people supporting it."
