In light of FIRE's campaign to improve fire safety standards, Siemens Building Technologies division's seminar on automated fixed fire extinguishing systems will provide key training for anyone working with the fire sector.

Their next event will be at the Fire Service College in Moreton-in-Marsh on 24 November and provides the opportunity for attendees to learn more about fire protection for IT, data centres and mechanical equipment, focusing on protection and detection of fixed extinguishing equipment from both a safety and financial perspective.

SBD's Business Unit Head for UK Fire Safety, Martin Watson, said: "Our training days provide a way of keeping up-to-date with the latest cutting edge technology and developments and while our attendees often come from different sectors, they all understand the challenges of operating an effective and efficient fire safety system, particularly now with increasingly tight budgets and new industry-wide legislation.

"It is therefore, more essential than ever before that companies protect themselves financially as well as legally, by making sure they are fully up-to-date with the latest standards and that they are protected against false alarms."
