Two members of the Wolverhampton branch of West Midlands Fire Service's (WMFS) Young Firefighters Association (YFA) are climbing the ladder to success.

Michael Hough and Ashley Haycock will be stepping up to a giant challenge as they aim to climb Mount Snowdon carrying a triple extension ladder.

The pair, aged 18 and 19 will start their challenge, which has never been attempted before, in aid of Midland Air Ambulance and the Firefighter's Charity.

Michael, 19, has been a member of the YFA for eight years and Ashley, 18, has been a member for five years. They both hope to join West Midlands Fire Service as Firefighters in the future.

Their hike up the 3,560ft Mount Snowdon will take place on Monday September 5th.
