Wolf Safety portable lighting products

This enables the Sheffield-based company to supply front-line firefighters with torches and handlamps they know they can rely on to deliver great performance in all operational environments, including hostile and hazardous areas.

These products are powered by either rechargeable or primary cell batteries. Increasingly they are now fitted with LEDs instead of bulbs, providing impressive assurance of long and dependable service.

The majority of the UK’s fire and rescue services choose Wolf Safety lighting products and the company’s ATEX safety LED torches are also selected for use by fire services in other countries, including Austria, France and Germany.

Wolf handlamps have been perceived as the benchmark product by British and mainland Europe fire and rescue services for many years. Their market-leading handlamp, the powerful Wolflite XT rechargeable unit, uses the latest LED technology to deliver 350 lumens of light output on full power. Spot and flood beam options are also available.

“We are proud of our long association with the UK’s fire and rescue services and remain dedicated to providing them with high-performance, low-maintenance lighting products”

“We are proud of our long association with the UK’s fire and rescue services and remain dedicated to providing them with high-performance, low-maintenance lighting products which fully comply with European ATEX directives as well as meeting International IECEx certification standards,” says Michael Morley, Wolf Safety’s Technical Director.

Wolf Safety’s range of portable lighting for safe use in hazardous areas includes handlamps, safety torches, head torches and warning lights. Four handlamp models include the popular Wolflite XT.

Wolf’s wide range of torches includes the ever-popular minis, micro and midi. Larger torches are available as bulb or LED, straight or right angle, and primary cell battery or rechargeable battery powered. Zone 0/20 versions are available.

The company’s LED Markerlite warning light is available in three colours and is visible up to more than half a mile away (0.8km). Both head torch models are high performance and suitable for use in gas zone 0 and dust zone 20, while the LED hazard lamp is suitable for gas zones 0, 1 and 2.
